JJ: It feels amazing

Hinckley AFC’s first ever goal scorer JJ Melligan spoke of his delight at helping the club to record a first victory in the 4-2 pre-season win at Heather St John’s.
The club’s captain scored a brace early on, the second being a penalty, to hit the ground running, something which Melligan spoke about after the match, saying ‘It feels amazing.’
‘I’m glad to have scored a couple of goals, and to help get Hinckley AFC off to a winning start.’
Melligan played the majority of the match, and said that he felt good for a first game of pre-season. ‘It felt really good. I felt a lot better than I thought I would!
‘We’re only a couple of weeks into pre-season training, so hopefully I still feel the same when the league season starts.
‘Hopefully we all get fit and get through as many training sessions as possible before we get going.’
