Match Preview: Bromsgrove Sporting (a)

Tomorrow’s match between Bromsgrove Sporting and Hinckley AFC at The Victoria Ground will see the Midland League First Division’s meanest defence take on its most potent attack.

Bromsgrove have conceded just 31 goals from their 27 league games thus far, while Hinckley have scored 89 in 33, including two in a dramatic stoppage time comeback at Bolehall Swifts on Tuesday.

Goals in the 93rd and 96th minutes from Luke Richards and Marco Adaggio preserved AFC’s 23 game unbeaten run, which looked in jeopardy when Bolehall held a 3-1 lead.

Tomorrow they face fifth place Sporting, who have lost three of their last four games in all competitions but comfortably beat league leaders HighgateHinckley AFC badge United a fortnight ago.

They lie nine points behind second place Hinckley, but have six games in hand on an AFC side who will have only four league games of their inaugural season remaining after tomorrow.

Bromsgrove emerged victorious from the reverse fixture back in August, when 214 saw Josh McKenzie’s brace take the three points back to Worcestershire either side of Richards’ equaliser for Hinckley.

Bromsgrove play at The Victoria Ground, Birmingham Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, B61 0DR.
