After facing two sides at similar levels to their own, HinckleyHinckley AFC badge AFC will face a stern test when they take on National League North side Tamworth tonight, kick off 7-30pm.

After a 1-1 draw against league rivals Heather St John’s ten days ago, Deqwon Ebanks’ hattrick helped Carl Abbott’s side to a 4-3 victory over Midland League Premier side Quorn on Saturday.

Both sides enjoyed successful campaigns last term: Tamworth narrowly missed out on the Conference North play-offs and won twelve consecutive league games either side of Christmas, whileTamworth badge AFC haven’t lost in the league since October and finished third in the Midland League Division One.

It promises to be a meeting of two sides high on confidence and raring to go after the long summer break, and comes almost a year to the day since the sides last met at St John’s Park, when a goal in each half saw Tamworth run out 2-0 victors.
