August Fixtures Announced

Hinckley AFC will kick off the 2015-16 Midland League First Division with a trip to Cadbury Athletic on Saturday 8th in a month that sees five home games in all competitions.

The match will be played at Pilkington XXX’s Triplex Sports Association ground, where Cadbury are sharing for the season, and will kick off at 3pm.

Following that, AFC will take on newly promoted Coventry United on Tuesday 11th August at St John’s Park, before Walsall Wood are the visitors in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

On Tuesday 18th August, Carl Abbott’s side travel to Rene Road to face Bolehall Swifts, before returning to St John’s Park to take on Studley on Saturday 22nd and Lichfield City on Tuesday 25th.

Saturday 29th August is FA Cup Preliminary Round day, meaning that, should Abbo’s men beat Walsall Wood, they will travel to either Bromsgrove Sporting or Gornal Athletic. A defeat against Walsall Wood will mean a league match at Leicester Road.

The month’s line up finishes on Bank Holiday Monday, 31st August, with a home match against landlords Heather St John’s.

The rest of the season’s fixtures will be released fully during August, instead of being released month by month as in 2014-15.
