Match Preview: Coventry United (h)

Hinckley AFC will play their first home league match of 2015-16 this evening when newly promoted Coventry United visit St John’s Park for a 7-45pm kick off.

On the opening day, both sides kickstarted their seasons by recording away victories, with both sides yet to conceded a goal.

Founded in 2013, United finished top of Division Two last season, winning 22 of their 30 matches, and won their opening game of the Division One season on Saturday with a 2-0 win at Littleton.

Meanwhile, Hinckley recorded a victory at Cadbury Athletic to get their Division One campaign up and running, and still have an unbeaten league run to protect that dates back to October.

Between them, the two sides scored over 200 league goals last season, so it promises to be a fascinating encounter between two of football’s youngest clubs.
