Ponchinello’s Player of the Month: August

The vote for the Ponchinello’s Player of the Month award for August is now open, with six nominees all in for the first award of the season.

The nominees are:

Marco Adaggio: An impressive start to the season from last year’s top scorer: he found the net nine times in eight games in August.

Jean Kalenda: The new summer signing played all eight games in the month and was part of a solid back line that kept three clean sheets.

Neil MacKenzie: Another to play all eight games in August; yet to find the net but contributed some impressive displays in the middle of the park including a Man of the Match performance against Lichfield.

Luke Richards: Seven goals in seven games this month for the new club captain; with numerous assists to boot.

Javia Roberts: The pacy winger has posed a constant threat to opposing full backs throughout the month and has struck up an impressive understanding with Richards and Adaggio. Man of the Match against Studley.

Sean Williams: Another summer signing, ‘Willo’ scored after just 35 seconds against Studley and filled in at left back against Walsall Wood, producing a fine display.
