Adaggio Departs

Hinckley AFC Manager Carl Abbott has made the decision toMarco Adaggio release striker Marco Adaggio.

Abbo has made the difficult decision to release the former Redditch and AFC Telford forward, who found the net 48 times for the club since his debut in September 2014.

Despite only playing once before the start of November last season, he made a significant impact and was runner-up in the Supporters’ Player of the Year award.

He leaves St John’s Park with 60 appearances to his name – the third most for the club.

On Adaggio’s departure, Abbo said: ‘I have thought long and hard about this over the past week, and it has been an incredibly difficult decision to arrive at, but one I feel is best for the club moving forward.

‘I have seen other managers take such decisions during my tenure, but this is the first time I have had cause to weigh up such a matter myself and it has not been been without much thought and consideration.

‘We offered Marco amended terms, but regrettably he declined and we have decided to move our separate ways.

‘Marco has been an incredible servant for us and has left us with some lasting memories as a fantastic player and personality who will be missed by the club.

‘However, with the changing dynamics within our camp of late, it just feels that a change of direction is needed and it is very much in the interests of myself, my staff and players, and indeed Marco himself.

‘I wish Marco only the best for the future.’

As a club, we would like to thank Marco for all his efforts in a Hinckley shirt, and we wish him all the best for the future.
