Darkin and Butler extend stays

Following the confirmation earlier this week that Sam Agar and Ryan Seal will remain with the club next season, we are delighted to confirm two further players have agreed to stay.
The midfield engine room of Darious Darkin and Lee Butler will have both committed to Hinckley AFC for the 2016-17 season after striking up a commanding partnership in the middle of the park towards the back end of last season.
Darkin made 36 appearances in the middle of the park last season and Butler 19, and manager Carl Abbott was pleased to have extended the duo’s stay at the club.
He said: ‘Despite competition for both players, I am over the moon to have secured their services for next season.
‘Working our way back through the spine of our side these are vital retentions, and I’m delighted that they both appear so excited for the season ahead with Hinckley AFC, and that both have clearly bought into what Paul Tomlinson and I are doing here.’
Talks with several players are ongoing as Abbo hopes to secure further retentions in the coming days.
