Match Preview: Cadbury Athletic (a)

Cadbury AthleticAfter two straight away wins without conceding a goal, Hinckley AFC will look to make it a hat-trick of such successes in tomorrow’s trip to Cadbury Athletic, kick off 3pm.

The last two games have seen Hinckley win 2-0 at Uttoxeter Town and 5-0 over Coventry Copsewood as Carl Abbott’s side lifted themselves to third in the table.

Midland Football LeagueOnly Walsall Wood have scored more league goals than Hinckley so far this term, while only Wood and Ilkeston Town have conceded fewer.

Tomorrow, they travel to a Cadbury side who currently lie bottom, albeit having played three games fewer than Coventry Alvis, who sit one place above them.

That said, the Chocolatemen have only conceded one goal more than Hinckley, but it has been at the other end where their problems have occured, netting just six times in their six games thus far – the fewest of any Division One side. Odane Barnes has scored four of them to make him their biggest threat in Hinckley AFCfront of goal.

The last meeting between the sides saw Hinckley run out 3-0 victors at the Triplex in February – the first of three matches in our pink kit for World Cancer Day.

Ryan Seal, Jamal Clarke and James Williams all found the net as AFC took all three points that day. They’ll be looking for a repeat result tomorrow to make it three away wins on the bounce.
