Rosepetals Player of the Month for November: The Nominees

Five games, five wins. Dale Belford’s men had a 100% record in November, but now it’s time to vote for your Rosepetals Player of the Month.
After such an impressive month across the park, it was incredibly difficult to narrow it down to just four nominees, but the quartet to make the list are Ty Belford, Richard Lavery, Dominic Perkins and Luke Richards.
If you aren’t sure who to vote for, have a read of our nominee review below and cast your vote before the deadline next week…
November 2017 POTM
First up is goalkeeper Ty Belford. The former Swindon stopper conceded just three goals in November, keeping two clean sheets this month. He also made vital saves, a fine stop late on against Leicester Road preserving all three points, while crucial saves against AFC Mansfield and Brocton also paved the way for successes.
Player/assistant manager Richard Lavery also makes the list. Lavs started the month in midfield but later slotted back into the centre of defence and was instrumental at the back. Against Mansfield in particular he barely lost a header, and played in every minute of AFC’s success this month.
Another member of Belford’s regular back three to play every minute was Dominic Perkins. He captained the side on a couple of occasions in the absence of Richard Munday and Josh Willis, and was also a key figure in AFC’s solid defensive look this month.
The final nominee is Luke Richards. Returning to the side after a spell at Shepshed, Luke took no time in struking up a fearsome partnership with Steve Hart. Between them, they scored 12 goals in five games with Richards netting seven in his final four, including three braces. He also won the penalty which sparked the turnaround against Leicester Road.
