Match Preview: Bolehall Swifts (a)

Bolehall Swifts badgeHinckley AFC travel to Bolehall Swifts tomorrow in the start of a run of 16 games in 39 days to end the season.
After Saturday’s postponement of the game at Studley, Hinckley now have to squeeze all their remaining fixtures into five and a half weeks, the weather meaning AFC have only played five league games since Boxing Day.
It means their last game is still the 11-1 thrashing of Coventry Alvis a fortnight ago, but while Richard Lavery’s side have barely kicked a ball in 2018, they still remain in the top five in the Midland League First Division.
Midland Football LeagueAlthough only Racing Club Warwick have played fewer games this term, Hinckley still remain as the league’s second highest scorers and, with 92 goals to their name in 26 games, will hope to continue their unbeaten league run in 2018 at Bolehall tomorrow.
Swifts moved out of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw with bottom side Alvis on Saturday, and have four games in hand on Stafford Town, who currently occupy the second relegation spot.
They have, however, scored the second fewest goals of anyone in the division, and only Alvis have netted fewer Hinckley AFCtimes than Bolehall’s 28.
But scoring goals wasn’t an issue when the sides last met, way back in November 2016. Hinckley emerged victorious that day in a ten-goal thriller that saw hat-tricks for Ryan Seal and Paul Sullivan in a 7-3 win.
Like Hinckley, Bolehall have had postponement issues since the New Year and tomorrow’s game will be their first at home since before Christmas.
Bolehall play at Rene Road, Bolehall, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B77 3NN.
