Match Preview: Brocton (h)

Hinckley AFC will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Brocton tomorrow evening, kick off 7-45pm.

In AFC’s final game before they break for FA Vase action this weekend, they face a second away trip to Staffordshire in three days with Brocton the hosts tomorrow.

And getting back to winning ways will be the target, after James Jepson’s men recorded their first ever goalless draw in a league match at the weekend – a 0-0 stalemate that has been 168 league matches in the making.

The Badgers sit a place below Hinckley in the Division One table, only beneath them on goal difference.

They have five wins and two draws from their 12 games thus far, and are also in the FA Vase this weekend after an impressive win over Highgate United in the last round.

AFC won both matches between the sides last season, in two contrasting affairs: a 6-4 win at St John’s Park in a crazy 90 minutes, before a considerably harder-fought 2-1 win at Silkmore Lane in November in which AFC had to come from behind.

Brocton play at Silkmore Lane, Stafford, ST17 4JH. The ground is approximately two and a half miles from Junction 13 of the M6
