Match Preview: Chelmsley Town (h)

Subject to a midday inspection, Hinckley AFC will move back into the top four of the Midland League First Division if they can beat in-form Chelmsley Town at the Welfare Ground today.

Unbeaten in three, AFC go in search of back-to-back wins when Chelmsley make the trip across to Ibstock.

That’s following last week’s hard-fought and last-gasp win over Nuneaton Griff when Ryan Ball and Lewis Commins scored late on to earn three valuable points.

Now, Chelmsley are the visitors having won four of their last six – an in-form opposition despite their lowly position in the table.

They fell to Coventry Copsewood on Tuesday, but prior to that had beaten NKF Burbage and Rocester back-to-back.

Kye Dryden has been their biggest threat in front of goal, netting seven times already, but they have scored the fewest league goals in the division with just 13 in their 15 games.

Hinckley, meanwhile, will be looking to replicate the win from earlier in the season after a 5-0 win at Pack Meadow back in August – the biggest win of the season so far.

And with the two sides just a point above Hinckley – Brocton and Lichfield – facing each other, a win will move AFC back into the top four.

The result of the inspection will be on our Twitter page from midday.
