AFC return to St John’s Park until Barwell work completed

Hinckley AFC will play home matches at Heather St John’s until pitch work at Kirkby Road has been completed.

Landlords Barwell announced last week that work is now starting on installing a 3G pitch at Kirkby Road. With this work expected to last around 14 weeks, we have moved to secure another home venue until completion of the pitch.

With this in mind it is our happy duty to announce to our fans that Hinckley AFC will play our early season home fixtures at St John’s Park.

We expect to play home matches there in August, September and October. These fixtures are yet to be released by the United Counties League.

St John’s Park will be a familiar venue for AFC fans, having spent the first four years of our existence playing there until 2018.

Hinckley AFC chairman Bryan White said: “I’m sure we’d all agree it was great to see the team back in action against Heather at St John’s Park, somewhere we know really well

“Heather have always provided excellent hospitality both during our time playing there, and in our visits as an away team since.

“We look forward to returning there for a short period of time until we can return to Kirkby Road in the autumn.”
