Match Preview: Borrowash Victoria (a)

Hinckley AFC will target a fifth straight win when they visit bottom side Borrowash Victoria on Saturday.

AFC have scored four goals in each of their last four games, as four wins propelled them up the table to the verge of the play-offs.

Now, they head to Derbyshire to take on a Borrowash side who sit at the foot of the table with four points from their 16 games.

Just two points separate the bottom three of Borrowash, their next door neighbours Graham Street Prims and Blackstones.

But they were unfortunate to lose 2-1 in the last minute to Ingles on Wednesday – a sign that they are highly competitive at step six. They took the lead in that game before Ingles hit back after half time.

Victoria’s only win so far came at the end of last month, a 1-0 win over Kirby Muxloe that represented three vital points and an equally vital clean sheet.

Their other point came in a 2-2 draw at Bourne Town on the opening day.

Borrowash play at the Anderson Electrical Arena, Borrowash Road, Spondon, Derby, DE21 7PH. From M1 J25 take A52 towards Derby. Take third turning left (directly under pedestrian footbridge) onto Borrowash Road. Go past golf driving range on left and in around 300 yards turn left. Follow right into car park and on down to the ground.

Borrowash play on the same site as fellow UCL1 side Graham Street Prims, but on a different ground. Prims are also at home tomorrow, taking on Lichfield City in the FA Vase – so please make sure you enter the right ground!
