Arron Cheshire takes up Griff managerial role

First-team coach Arron Cheshire has left Hinckley AFC to take up the managerial role at league rivals Nuneaton Griff.

‘Chesh’ joined in the summer after leaving his post as manager at Coventrians, having guided them to the Division Three title.

His hard work on Joe Conneely and Courtney Hunter-Belford’s backroom team has helped the team to top spot in Division One, and he takes up the reigns at the Pingles Stadium after the departure of Mitchell Thomson for Atherstone Town.

Conneely said: “It’s a great opportunity for Chesh. We said we wanted to keep him around but that would happily have our blessing if the right job came along.

“He’s got a couple of lads at Griff who he had at Coventrians. He’s a good friend of mine and has been brilliant for us so I’m gutted to lose him but it’s a great move for him.

“We wish him well, but not too well when we play them next week!”

Thanks for all your efforts at Hinckley, Arron, and good luck!
