Grant Ryan agrees to join

Striker Grant Ryan has agreed to join Hinckley AFC as manager James Jepson bags his latest target.

The Mansfield Town academy graduate played at step four last season with Sheffield, and has played at a higher level for all of his career.

Counting the likes of Scarborough Athletic, Belper Town and Stamford among his former clubs, the bearded forward becomes the 12th player to agree to be part of Jepson’s squad for next season.

After his release from Field Mill, Ryan linked up with Chasetown having initially spent time with the Scholars on loan. After that, he linked up with Hucknall Town and Rainworth Miners Welfare.

Jepson said the addition is a great one for the club. He said: “Grant has played at a top level all of his career and has always scored goals.

“We have had to fight of the interests of a number of Evo-Stik clubs for his signature, but in the end the working relationship he has with John and myself from previous clubs won him over.”
