Hinckley AFC are saddened to learn of the passing of supporter George Brooks at the age of 95.
George, pictured with the Division One runners-up trophy in 2017, was a regular at Hinckley AFC since our formation.
He was a kind and loyal friend to many supporters and the club are saddened by his loss.
His son, Tony, said: “It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform everyone that my father passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
“He said before he died that one of his regrets was that he won’t get to see us win the league. He was extremely grateful for all friends he had made at the club.
“I hope this gives the lads inspiration to go on and fulfil his dream.”
Rest in peace, George.
