A commanding central defender, Ky Green made an impact in both boxes during the course of his first season at Hinckley AFC.

He was the club’s leading scorer during the early part of the campaign such was his prowess from set pieces, and made the second most appearances during the first pandemic-shortened campaign.

He made nearly 50 appearances in the Midland League Division One for Atherstone Town and Nuneaton Griff over the three seasons before joining Hinckley.

A centre half who can also play out from the back, the young defender has knowledge of what to expect from the league and has great potential to fulfil with the club.

But that was stifled by a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the entire 2021/22 season, with his welcome return coming as a late substitute in the final match of 2022.

Arguably his biggest impact came in his second game back – an 90th-minute equalising goal in a League Cup semi-final that helped AFC past Atherstone Town on their way to lifting the trophy.
