A Unique Opportunity Arises

As we have previously announced, Hinckley AFC are making the unique pre-season playing shirts that the squad are wearing in inaugural matches available for members and supporters to buy. Each shirt will be signed by the players and the coaching staff, making them truly unique mementos.

Each shirt has a ‘reserve’ price of £35 by either emailing clubshop@hinckleyafc.co.uk (and making it clear that you wish to order a pre-season shirt, not a standard replica), or by speaking with Ron Ashby or Simon Blyth at our upcoming fixtures.

Simply confirm the shirt that you would like (home or away and the number). This will be placed on record until Saturday 23rd August. On this date, any shirt with one request will be sold for £35.

In the event that more than one person has requested a shirt, priority will be given to Club Members and Season Ticket Holders. If that is not decisive, people will be contacted to either change their requested shirt, or to place another bid. The highest bid will win the shirt. Any shirts that remain unsold after this date will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Please note that there are three exceptions:

– The red number 7 shirt worn by JJ Melligan, in which the club’s first goal was scored against Heather St John’s, will be kept for public display in our clubhouse. The Working Group feel that such a historic item in the club’s history should be enjoyed by the membership for years to come.

– The violet number 7 shirt worn by JJ Melligan in the second half of that fixture will be made available for sale in a straight auction to the highest bidder. Bids should be submitted in the same way as if you were to bid for another shirt.

– One of the red shirts (number to be decided after supporters’ requests are made) will be presented by the club to our primary sponsors for the 2014-15 season, DPD.
