Twelve Days of Christmas: June

Twelve Days of Christmas: June

After several months of waiting, the month of June saw us given our league placement, while 9 more players joined Carl Abbott’s ranks.

In the middle of the month, we were told that we would be playing our inaugural season in the Midland League First Division: at step six of the non-league pyramid.

That news brought an influx of new players: Steve Taylor, Matt Martin, James Loney, George Williams, James Bennett-Tindall, Craig Bannister, Marco Adaggio, Nathan Walker and Adrian Jones all signed for the club.

At the end of June, we held our football funday at St John’s Park, the Legends Photohighlight of which was a match between Hinckley Legends and Walsall Aces, two of Matt Gadsby’s former clubs. Aptly, the match was kicked off by Matt’s daughter Amelia.

However, two members of the Working Group were missing that day: Ron Ashby and Russ Abbott were climbing Snowdon in a fundraising effort in conjunction with Wrexham Supporters Trust.
