Match Preview: Barwell (h)

For the fourth pre-season match in succession, Hinckley AFC will take on higher level opposition when they welcome Barwell to St John’s Park tomorrow evening, kick off 7-30pm.

Carl Abbott’s side have acquitted themselves well in their previous three outings against Quorn (4-3), Tamworth (0-3) and Romulus (1-2), and will face a stern test against the Kirkby Road side who play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.

The first meeting between the two sides comes three weeks before Hinckley’s first Midland League Division One game away at Cadbury Athletic on Saturday 8th August. Barwell start their league campaign a week later at home to Blyth Spartans, with Jimmy Ginnelly’s side looking to build on last season’s eighth place finish.
