Twelve Moments of Christmas: Number Nine

For number nine on our list of favourite Hinckley AFC moments in 2015, you have to go all the way back to January.

The venue is Pershore Town’s King George V Stadium, and Carl Abbott’s side are level at 1-1 going into stoppage time.

And then, up steps Dominic Smith. The big centre half met Nathan Walker’s left wing corner, and rose above home ‘keeper Andy Yarnold to power home the winner and send the travelling Hinckley contingent into delirium behind the goal.

That determination earns ‘Big Dom’ his place at number nine on AFC’s ‘Twelve Moments of Christmas’.
