Twelve Moments of Christmas: Number Five

Number five in our ‘Twelve Moments of Christmas’ also takes us back to Bromsgrove Sporting’s Victoria Ground.

Step up Dominic Smith. The big centre half, who has already featured in this list at number nine, reacted quickest to Ross Clarke’s free kick, prodding it home to net the winner and send the large travelling contingent into jubilation.

That extended Hinckley’s unbeaten run to 24 matches, and helped them overturn their fellow high flyers in a result that was crucial in securing FA Cup qualification.
