Four more agree to stay

Roberts, Cross, Thomas, PaddockFour more players from last season’s squad have agreed to remain with Hinckley AFC in 2016-17.
Defensive trio Lee Thomas, Tom Cross and Ryan Paddock have all committed to extending their stays at St John’s Park, as has winger Javia Roberts.

Left back Thomas joined in November from Southam United, and quickly made the left back slot his own, winning the Supporters’ Player of the Year award after a string of impressive displays down the left flank.
Goalkeeper Cross also joined from Southam, and made 34 appearances between the sticks along with a cameo outfield appearance in the Jelson Homes Senior Cup.
Meanwhile, Paddock joined in March and was instrumental in keeping three clean sheets in his first four games at the club.
Roberts has also signalled his intention to enjoy a second season under Carl Abbott’s stewardship. Despite a spell with Bedford Town, only Luke Richards and Mitchell Tomlinson made more appearances for Hinckley than Roberts last season and Abbott is ‘over the moon’ that the tricky winger has committed to the club.
They join Sam Agar, Ryan Seal, Lee Butler and Darious Darkin as confirmed retentions for next season.
