Hinckley AFC can confirm that our Buildbase FA Vase tie against Berkhamsted will be played on Saturday 7th January.
It had previously been unclear whether we would be able to play on the Saturday, with our landlords Heather St John’s also scheduled to be at home that weekend.
But Heather have moved their match against Leicester Road – meaning our match can be played on the Saturday of fourth round weekend.
The tie will see step six AFC face step five Berkhamsted – two teams who have ben reformed in rceent years after the previous clubs in their respective towns folding.
Berkhamsted reached the fifth round last year before being beaten by eventual winners Morpeth Town and will be reach that stage again with a win – while AFC are on their best ever Vase run and will be desperate to continue it.
