Pelsall VillaHinckley AFC play their 50th game of the season tomorrow when they travel to The Bush Ground to take on Pelsall Villa, kick off 3pm.

AFC are on the road for the first time in six games tomorrow, and for the second time in three days face a side fighting to stay in the Midland League First Division as they take on a Pelsall side currently second from bottom and a point adrift of safety.

The first half of AFC’s Easter weekend double header saw Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against a Chelmsley Town side who are now three points clear of the drop.

Tomorrow, AFC face a Pelsall side two places below Chelmsley and below third bottom Stafford Town by a solitary point.

Midland Football LeagueBut Hinckley assistant manager Paul Tomlinson says his side will go into the game with limited resources through injuries and work commitments.

Ryan Paddock suffered a fractured eye socket yesterday while JJ Melligan also picked up a knock and speaking after the game, Tomlinson said: “we know we’re already scratching for numbers through work commitments so unfortunately we could be really down to the bare bones.”

Before being beaten by Atherstone Town on Saturday, Pelsall beat Bolehall Swifts the week before but prior to that hadn’t won in seven games in a run that saw them drop into the relegation zone.

Hinckley AFC badgeOnly Southam United and Studley have conceded more goals than Pelsall’s 88 this league season, while similarly only Southam and Pershore Town have scored fewer.

Hinckley remain the league’s top scorers with 115 goals from their 34 games, and also remain second despite yesterday’s loss with third placed Leicester Road also being beaten at home by lowly oppostion.
