Hinckley AFC are delighted to confirm the appointments of Dan Gibson and James Dobson as managers of our new Under 18s and Under 17s sides respectively.
The two managers have been placed in charge of the new sides playing under the club’s banner for the first time in 2017-18, with the Under 18s playing in the Midland Floodlit Youth League and the Under 17s in the Midland Junior Premier League.
Gibson joins the club from the Rugby Town youth setup, having also been involved with coaching their first team during their successful 2014-15 season in which they narrowly missed out on the play-offs at step four, while Dobson also has wide experience of coaching at youth level.
We are also holding a pair of open evenings later this month for anyone who might be interested in playing for the new youth sides, particularly the Under 18s with Gibson being present to meet prospective players.
They will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th May at the Greene King Stadium in Hinckley, and will also provide an opportunity for any potential players to see where they will be training.
AFC first team coach Simon Mellor and Andrew Biffin will also be overseeing the new development sides.
