Join our media team for 2017-18

20170515_213331Hinckley AFC have a vacancy on the club’s media and communications team to assist with matchday media duties.

Since our formation in 2014, the club has been praised for the quality of its output which covers a wide range of both written and video content. Next season, we’re looking for more people to help with our media duties on a matchday.

The voluntary role is ideal for anyone hoping to take their first steps into sports journalism or PR, providing great experience for those looking to break into the industry. It also offers opportunities to have your work published in both the Hinckley Times and the Nuneaton News.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Writing match reports for the club’s website and local newspapers
  • Providing matchday build-up and updates for our Facebook and Twitter feeds
  • Conducting post-match interviews with management and/or players to be uploaded onto our YouTube channel

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to attend both home and away matches regularly
  • Have a knowledge of social media
  • Have an enthusiasm towards non-league football

In addition, we are also looking for a camera operator to film matches. The video is used to put together match highlights on our official YouTube channel, and is also used for analysis by Carl Abbott and his backroom team.
