Central defensive duo Dom Smith and Alex Morris have returned to Hinckley AFC as our first two summer signings ahead of 2017-18.
The duo struck up a dominant partnership at the heart of the defence during the club’s 27-game unbeaten run in 2014-15, keeping eight clean sheets together during that spell.
Between them, the pair made 99 appearances during their first spells at the club, with their contributions not just limited to the defensive third.
They also had a happy knack of popping up with vital goals, Smith scoring memorable late winners at Pershore Town and Bromsgrove Sporting, while Morris netted in the 3-2 win at Pelsall Villa that year.
Smith won the Supporters’ Player of the Month award for February 2015, while Morris won it the following month as both asserted themselves as two vital members of the squad.
