Two more squad additions

Hinckley AFC can confirm the double signing of defender Joe McLaughlin and midfielder Mussa Yussuf.

Towering centre back McLaughlin, 21, was part of the system at Notts County as a youngster and  is pictured second from left (above) with James Jepson, Toby Moore (who signed last week) and John Ramshaw.

Having just completed a degree at the University of Sheffield, the six foot four defender graduates this summer and was part of the university’s football first team which competes in one of the top student leagues in the north.

Meanwhile, Yussuf was on Nottingham Forest’s books as a youngster and played under Jepson at Rugby Town.

Good on the ball, the 22-year-old, nicknamed Biggy, can operate as a holding midfielder or as a second striker and Jepson said he looked sharp on his return to training last night.

The duo have become part of James Jepson’s squad with just over a week to go until the first match action of the pre-season campaign against Heather St John’s next Saturday.
