Match Preview: Paget Rangers (a)

Hinckley AFC will look for a third win on the bounce when they travel to Paget Rangers this afternoon.

AFC have recorded back-to-back victories in recent weeks, with wins over Chelmsley Town and Heath Hayes extending their unbeaten league start to the season.

Today, James Jepson’s men will hope to make it seven without defeat and three wins in a row at Coles Lane.

They take on a Paget side who have won three and lost five of their nine games thus far, but have had some impressive results – none more so than a 1-0 win over Atherstone Town a fortnight ago as they became the first team to take points off the Adders this campaign.

That goal to beat Atherstone is, however, the only time they have netted in their last five outings, and only three sides have scored fewer goals.

With a win, AFC could jump up the table further and make up ground on the sides above them – only Racing Club Warwick have played fewer games than Hinckley thus far.

But today will be on of Hinckley’s games in hand – the match being the only one in the league today with the majority of the rest of the division in FA Vase action.

Like Hinckley, Paget have moved to a new ground this season and now reside at Sutton Coldfield Town’s Coles Lane. The Bears have advised that all supporters should park locally and enter the ground via the turnstiles. The ground is on Coles Lane, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, B72 1NL.
