Hinckley AFC are delighted to announce a special treat for one of our fans, thanks to the generosity of our kit supplier and sponsor Macron Nottingham.
Jon Ward of Macron Nottingham invited the club to join them in their hospitality suite at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground when the Reds take on Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night.
The club could think of no better person to benefit from this offer than Marek Portland. Marek is a long time Hinckley United and Hinckley AFC fan, as well as being a big Forest follower.
He is is one of the main organisers of the #Hinckley2Heather charity bike ride. Marek came up with the idea in 2018 and co-ordinates arrangements with Karen Brookes at Heather.
This year, despite a personal loss for Marek and his family, he continued organising the ride through a difficult time.
As a club, we are only too happy to let Marek take up this generous offer from Macron Nottingham.
He will be watching on from prime seats in the Brian Clough Stand to see if his beloved Reds can pick up their first win of the new season.
This is our way of saying a massive thank you to him for his efforts every year. It is behind the scenes volunteers, such as Marek and many others, that keep clubs like ours moving forward.
