Match Preview: Paget Rangers (a)

Hinckley AFC will look to pick up in the new year where they left the old one and follow up the 7-3 win over Nuneaton Griff with Monday’s visit to Paget Rangers, kick off 1pm.

Hinckley’s final match of 2022 saw one of their complete attacking performances as they reinforced their status as Division One’s leading scorers against Griff.

And now they’ll look to begin 2023 in the same fashion with a visit to Paget Rangers for the second instalment of their festive Bank Holiday matches.

Hinckley moved into third with the win over Griff, with Paget sitting 12th in the table heading into the new year.

The Bears’ unbeaten start to the season, where they won their first four games, was ended by Hinckley back in August and they have also found form again in recent weeks after a difficult autumn.

A late defeat to Ashby is the only loss of their last four games, with all those games against sides in the top eight. They beat Dudley Town in the cup, as well as beating Bilston Town at home and a draw at Coton Green most recently.

Harry Jackson is their leading scorer with 12, while Leslie Omorodion has chipped in with six.
