Hinckley AFC can announce the nominations for election to the Board of Directors, at the club’s 2023 AGM.
The elected Directors due to stand down by rotation, according to the club constitution, are Mark Langley and Jason Tipping, with both having been nominated to stand for re-election to the board. They will be joined by the three former co-opted board members Lee Sharrard, Liam Finn and Ben Wykes who have also been nominated for election.
As there are fewer candidates than vacancies available, as per the club’s election policy, a ballot will not be required and candidates will be elected by members present at the AGM.
Mark Langley and Jason Tipping have both been long-term members of the Board, with Mark responsible for the club shop on match days, handling merchandise and assisting with matchday kit for away games, whilst Jason is part of the sponsorship team and has been instrumental in the return of the fundraising ‘Super 7s’ competition.
Lee Sharrard, Liam Finn and Ben Wykes were co-opted to the Board in 2023 to assist with the sponsorship team enabling a wider scope of fundraising for the club, successfully bringing on board local business such as Sumac Bar & Grill, Picker Elliott Estate Agents and Wood Street Opticians. The Board are delighted all three have decided to stand for election to the Board to continue the good work they have started.
The club’s Annual General Meeting takes place on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. It will be held at the New Plough Inn, 24 Leicester Rd, Hinckley LE10 1LS, with an 8.30pm start.

The club wish to reiterate only Club Members may attend the AGM, and stand for election. Club Members aged 16 or over can take part in Board Elections.
