Hinckley AFC 13-0 Pelsall Villa

Hinckley AFC returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 13-0 victory over Pelsall Villaimage on Saturday.

After Tuesday’s shock 6-1 defeat to Uttoxeter Town, Hinckley came out of the blocks quickly, and were 8-0 up by half time.

Mark Bellingham was the chief tormentor: he bagged four goals in the first half to become the club’s first competitive hattrick scorer.

There was also a goal apiece for Matt Bailey, John Clapp and Adrian Jones, while Scott Summers’ own goal started the rout.

The second half continued in the same vain. Bellingham was replaced at half time by Luke Richards, who grabbed a second half treble as he competed with Bellingham for the matchball.

Goals from JJ Melligan and the returning Craig Bannister completed the scoring late on.

Hinckley began brightly, and took the lead after a minute. Bailey’s effort deflected off Summers, and gave keeper Ryan Taylor no chance.

Clapp doubled Hinckley’s lead after eight minutes, when he converted Tyrone Clarke-O’Connell’s cross.

After fifteen minutes Bellingham added a third, heading in from JJ Melligan’s right wing corner, before Bailey got on the scoresheet by slotting past Taylor when he was sent through on goal.

Adrian Jones scored his first goal for the club midway through the first half, when his shot took a slight, before Bellingham made it six with an acrobatic finish from James Bennett-Tindall.

Bellingham added two more just before the interval as Hinckley romped into the interval with an eight goal cushion.

They continued to improve their goal difference after half time following Tuesday’s 6-1 drubbing, and despite Bellingham’s substitution at half time, his replacement Luke Richards was determined to prove a point.

He immediately got himself on the scoresheet after a close range finish, before a wonderful lofted chip and a tap in after rounding the goalkeeper completed his hattrick.

Melligan and Bannister completed the scoring late on as Hinckey ensured that Tuesday’s defeat was well and truly behind them.
