Dom Departs

Hinckley AFC can today confirm the departure of defender Dom Smith, who has joined MFL Premier side Lye Town.

During his time at the club, ‘Big Dom’ became known as one half of the ‘twin towers’ at the heart of Hinckley’s back four, striking up a fine central defensive partnership with Alex Morris.

He made 44 appearances for the club in total, and as well as preventing goals at one en, he chipped in with five goals of his own at the other, including two dramatic late winners away at Pershore Town and Bromsgrove Sporting.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Dom for his efforts in a Hinckley AFC shirt, and wish him all the best in his recovery from an injury he picked up recently.
