Asa Calls It A Day

Asa Wright has today confirmed that despite lengthyAsa Wright rehabilitation on his knee injury, he has made the decision to call a premature halt to his playing days.

Despite Asa being with the club for over a year, the recurring knee problem has restricted the midfielder to just nine appearances and he has made the difficult decision to retire from the game.

Asa announced his decision on his Facebook page, and also took time out to thank the club and fans for their support during his time at Hinckley.

He said: ‘Time to call it a day… thanks to everyone at Hinckley AFC for their patience and support over the last 12 months couldn’t have asked to be at a better club. I would love nothing more than to carry on playing but my knee just won’t allow it, wishing you all the success in the future the club’s only going in one direction!’

Everyone associated with Hinckley AFC would like to thank Asa for his time in an AFC shirt, and during his spell on the sidelines as part of our club.

All the best for the future Asa!
