Hinckley AFC will be looking to continue their recent fireworks on the pitch this Bonfire Night when Cadbury Athletic visit St John’s Park, kick off 3pm.
Abbo’s men have scored sixteen goals in this past week, and will be looking for another explosive performance to continue their impressive recent run in front of goal.
Tomorrow, they take on a Cadbury side who have become something of draw specialists this season – seven of their twelve league matches have ended level.
They have been difficult to beat though, losing just twice in the Midland League Division One this season. Only AFC, Leicester Road and table toppers Bromsgrove Sporting have lost fewer games.
As a result, they sit solidly in mid-table with sixteen points from their twelve games.
Tomorrow’s is is a match that sees the league’s top scorers take on its fifth best defence but the Chocolatemen’s back line has been breached more regularly in recent weeks after conceding ten goals in their last three.
AFC were narrow victors in each of the two matches against Cadbury last season – a 1-0 win at the Triplex on the opening day was followed up by a 2-0 win at St John’s Park in late February, when late goals from David Blenkinsopp and Bilal Yafai earned all three points for Abbo’s men.
