Hinckley AFC could make it eight wins from nine when they travel to third-bottom Pershore Town tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
Since the end of January, Carl Abbott’s side have moved up to third in the Midland League First Division with a string of victories punctuated by just one loss at the beginning of the month.
The latest of those was Tuesday’s hard-fought win over Lichfield City, in which second half goals from Sam Agar and Paul Sullivan gave Hinckley all three points to continuie their fine recent form.
But Pershore themselves have boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation with a five match unbeaten run of their own, drawing four of them.
Each of their last three have been stalemates as they have lifted themselves just outside the drop zone. They are two points ahead of Studley, having played a game more, with Pelsall Villa, Chelmsley Town and Stafford Town also in the battle to avoid joining Southam United in the bottom two.
The last meeting between the sides took place in September. It ended in a 4-1 win for Hinckley but it was Ryan Seal’s stunner from the halfway line that took the headlines and saw over 10,000 views on 
Facebook.
The halfway line strike was the first of Seal’s brace that day, and goals from Sean Williams and a Steve Webb own goal helped AFC to a 4-1 win as visiting captain Shaun Griffiths was sent off.
