Match Preview: Littleton (a)

LittletonLittleton and Hinckley AFC have both played four games in the last week – and they make it five in nine days when they meet at Five Acres tonight.
Both sides struggled with postponements during the early part of this season, but are now at the other end of the spectrum with plenty of football for both sides in the final month of the campaign.
For Hinckley, it’s the first of four consecutive game against other sides in the top ten and this run will be crucial to their aspirations of finishing second.
Midland Football LeagueThe game sees the meeting of two of the league’s leading marksmen, with Littleton’s Dan Carter and Hinckley’s Steve Hart both in the top five hotshots in Division One this season.
Only Heather’s Simeon Cobourne has found the net more often than Hart, while Carter has also scored more than 30 times with 33 in his 36 games this year.
After tasting league defeat for the first time since Boxing Day on Tuesday evening against Uttoxeter, Hinckley will be looking to Hinckley AFCbounce back to winning ways at the first possible opportunity at a Five Acres.
But the home side will also be looking to do the same, hoping to return to form after losing five of their last six in the league.
That run has seen the Worcestershire side slip to 10th in the table but with Carter in their side along with Robbie Bunn, who was part of Bromsgrove Sporting’s title-winning side last season, and Jack Cresswell, who won the Midland League double with Alvechurch, they will pose a threat.
Littleton play at Five Acres, Pebworth Road, North Littleton, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR11 8QL.
