Heather St John’s: A thank you

Hinckley AFC can confirm that we will be leaving St John’s Park for a new home ground in 2018-19.
The new venue will be announced once the paperwork is officially completed this week, but brings to an end a four-year association with Heather St John’s which have yielded great success for the club since its inception.
As a result, we’d like to extend a huge thank you to everyone at Heather for the last four years in this open letter to our soon-to-be former landlords…
St John's Park
“As the last of four successful seasons as your tenants draws to a close, we wanted to say a few words on behalf of all the Hinckley AFC fans, members, directors, players and managers both past and present.
Thank you to Heather for being the very best of landlords, for giving us a home when we needed it most. When others turned their backs on us or had no faith in our project, you stepped forward and offered your help.
We will miss your beautiful, well-kept stadium and most of all, we will miss Karen and Mick for the tremendous hospitality they have extended to us, Becky and Vicky the league’s best barmaids, and of course Adrian who was instrumental in setting up our initial meeting.
You are a very well run club, and we have learnt so much good practice from you. Thank you for extending your warm welcome to us. Simply put, our club would not exist if it wasn’t for the help you gave us to get our club on its feet, and for that we will be forever grateful.
As a new chapter in our history begins, we look forward to maintaining close links between our clubs and competing every year for the Simon Blyth Memorial Trophy.
We wish you continued success on and off the field and will always look forward to visiting St John’s Park.
Yours Sincerely,
All your friends at Hinckley AFC”
