The Total Motion Midland Football League have confirmed that the 2017-18 league season will be extended until Monday 7th May.
Given the recent inclement weather that hat hit clubs across the Midland League system in the last three months, the League have been granted permission from the Football Association to extend the season.
This gives clubs four extra fixture slots, and prevents clubs, including Hinckley AFC, having to play on consecutive days in order to fulfil fixtures.
In order to ensure every club completes their fixtures at the same time, the League say there will be full fixture programmes on Saturday 5th May and Monday 7th May.
In a statement, they said the decision was made to maintain the integrity of the League.
