Match Preview: Studley (a)

After Saturday’s FA Vase success, Hinckley AFC are hoping to carry their winning form into league action when they travel to Studley tomorrow night, kick off 7-45pm.

AFC won for the first time in six games on Saturday as three second half goals saw off Hereford Lads Club in the FA Vase second round.

Now, they’ll look to carry that success back into Midland League action as they face Studley for the second time in a month.

The Bees, with a similar record to Hinckley so far this season, recovered from two goals down to snatch a point in stoppage time when the sides last met just four and a half weeks ago at the Welfare Ground.

That day, they scored two goals in the final 12 minutes to salvage a draw after AFC had looked set to make it back-to-back wins.

They sit two points ahead of Hinckley, having played a game more than James Jepson’s men – and AFC will move up to ninth with a win in Warwickshire.

Like Hinckley, Studley are four games without a win in the league and both will be looking to kick their league campaigns back into action tomorrow.

Studley were beaten 5-2 by Stapenhill on Saturday – but the duo are the league’s two draw specialists with Hinckley having ended six games on level pegging, and Studley five.

Studley play at The Beehive, Abbeyfields Drive, Studley, Warwickshire, B80 7BF.
