Trio of players remain for 2022/23

Nick Brandish, Jeremie Agholor and Ryan Slinn will all remain with Hinckley AFC for 2022/23.

The trio all featured during last season’s play-off campaign and will stay at the club for the coming season back in the Midland League.

Brandish featured 25 times last season, primarily alternating with Drew Kear at right back, until a late-season injury meant he didn’t feature after the win at Hucknall.

But his valuable versatility also saw him play on the left of defence, in the centre and also in midfield. He chipped in with a pair of goals, away to Gedling Miners Welfare and West Bridgford.

He’s currently sidelined with injury but is hoping for a return to fitness around the start of the competitive season.

Winger Agholor played 23 times, netting seven goals during his first season at the club. Arguably the most valuable of those goals came away to Clifton All Whites, putting his side 3-2 up in the final ten minutes.

Slinn was another to show versatility and also scored seven times last season. He played 17 times after joining in late August from Lichfield City and starred in our opening friendly at Heather St John’s, scoring his side’s equalising goal.

Welcome back, Nick, Jez and Ryan!
