Jac Redhead joins until end of season

After impressing on debut when helping out last week, Jac Redhead will now spend the rest of the season with Hinckley AFC.

The midfield man played for the first time in Hinckley colours in the League Cup against Stapenhill last week, helping cover a shortage of players through injuries and ineligibility.

He had joined on dual registration basis from Halesowen Town for that match, but has now opted to stay with Hinckley for the remainder of the campaign.

A product of the Strachan Football Foundation, Jac’s first experience of men’s football came under Joe Conneely’s management spell at Rugby Borough in 2018.

He then moved to Coventry Copsewood, and such was his impact there that he jumped up three levels to spend time with Barwell, before linking up with Halesowen.

His spell with the step four promotion chasers has been hampered by a serious injury, which he returned from earlier this year.

Conneely said: “Jac’s a player I know really well from being at Strachan a few years ago where he signed for us at Rugby Borough and Coventry Copsewood.

“He’s a fantastic young player who will make us stronger overall with a busy schedule, so we’re delighted he’s joined us until the end of the season.”

Great to have you with us, Jac!
