Supporters’ Player of the Year Matt Dawson and League Cup final goalscorer Adam Barber are staying with Hinckley AFC for the new season.
Dawson joined in September last season, and quickly nailed down a starting place, named in the line-up for every game between October and April.
As well as being impressive defensively, he chipped in with handy goals too – netting six times from a full-back position including in the play-off semi-final against Droitwich Spa.
His energetic displays led to a number of Man of the Match votes, and became a fans’ favourite to such a degree that he was voted as their Player of the Season.
Barber, meanwhile, netted that late goal at the Bescot Stadium that provided one of the club’s most memorable moments to date.
It was his first for the club, and capped off a debut season in which he featured 35 times in all competitions down the left flank.
The young defender featured on the left of a back three as well as down the left flank last season and will hope to build on that again this term.
